Is Cetaphil good for acne treatment?

Yoram Harth, MD
By Yoram Harth, MD | 2019-12-07

Cetaphil started out as an extra mild cleanser for people with very dry skin and eczema and later started to be marketed for the treatment of acne. Unfortunately, our experience shows that this cleanser is too mild to be effective in treating acne. It does not foam, has limited significant cleansing effect, and leaves an oily “feel” on the skin. For people with acne and oily skin, we would recommend using one a proven effective treatment system such as MDacne, which will be personalized to your skin for the best results as quickly as possible.
