How to Use

Apply your retinol cream at night on clean, dry skin. In the beginning, apply it twice per week, and gradually increase the application frequency. Apply a pea-sized amount to your finger and touch the four areas of your face: forehead, chin, and the two cheeks, avoiding contact with eyes, eyelids, and lips. Always apply sunscreen when outdoors.

Retinol products are not recommended for use by pregnant or nursing mothers.

Your questions, answered

What is MDacne Retinol 0.25% Treatment Cream and how does it work?

MDacne Retinol 0.25% Treatment Cream is a cosmetic night cream with 0.25% pure retinol and 2% niacinamide. Retinol converts to retinoic acid in the skin and speeds cell turnover, which helps keep pores clear and smooths texture. Niacinamide calms redness and helps fade dark spots.

Is MDacne Retinol 0.25% Treatment Cream better than other retinol products?

MDacne Retinol 0.25% Treatment Cream uses pure retinol, the form your skin converts directly to retinoic acid, paired with 2% niacinamide to offset dryness. Tea tree oil, aloe vera, chamomile and calendula soothe the skin, and the formula is vegan and free of parabens, sulfates and silicones.

MDacne Retinol 0.25% or 0.5% — which strength should you start with?

MDacne Retinol 0.25% Treatment Cream is best for anyone new to retinol or with sensitive skin, since it is the beginner strength. Move to MDacne Retinol 0.5% Treatment Cream, which is twice as potent and paired with 4% niacinamide, once you tolerate nightly use comfortably.

How long does MDacne Retinol 0.25% Treatment Cream take to show results?

MDacne Retinol 0.25% Treatment Cream usually improves texture and tone by week six to eight. Fewer clogged pores and smoother skin build over three months, since you start at twice weekly. Retinol results are cumulative, so consistency matters more than frequency.

How do you use MDacne Retinol 0.25% Treatment Cream at night?

MDacne Retinol 0.25% Treatment Cream goes on at night to clean, dry skin, twice a week at first, then more often as your skin tolerates it. Use a pea-sized amount on forehead, chin and both cheeks, avoiding eyes and lips. Always wear sunscreen outdoors.

Does MDacne Retinol 0.25% Treatment Cream cause purging, and how long?

MDacne Retinol 0.25% Treatment Cream can cause more breakouts in the first two to six weeks, as retinol pushes existing clogs to the surface. Keep to twice weekly, moisturize, and let it settle rather than stopping. Message our team if breakouts worsen past six weeks.

Who should not use MDacne Retinol 0.25% Treatment Cream?

MDacne Retinol 0.25% Treatment Cream is not recommended if you are pregnant or nursing. Mild dryness, redness or flaking is common early on, so reduce frequency and use a moisturizer. Retinol increases sun sensitivity, which is why daily sunscreen is not optional with this cream.

I can't even give a star
I can't even give a star. I got the Retinol A, smells like gasoline, irritates the skin. I wrote E-mail to customer service asking for help, no answer. Lost $30.

My experience has been amazing with…
My experience has been amazing with MDacne. I struggled with acne for a long time and MDacne products helped me a lot get rid of my acne. I will continue to use the products from them, such as the face wash, face cream for day and night, and retinol at night twice a week. Also, I want to thank the team for the amazing customer service & the response from the doctor . Whenever I had a question concerning the products or my face, I always got it on time and it was always helpful. Thank you MDacne, Regards.

It’s ok
It’s ok, the product size that you receive doesn’t seem like a good value. You’re paying a lot for essentially travel size products. I ordered the retinol set back on December 3rd and I still haven’t received it in the mail. I also ordered my kit a week after and that arrived on time. When I contacted the carrier they said the package was never received by them. When I contacted MD acne about the issue they told me to wait til the 2nd week of February if it’s not been received. It’s January 31st and I still haven’t received the package. If I don’t by the second week of February I’ll most likely cancel my subscription just due to the lack of initiative by customer service, and I just don’t see the value in the price point.

best retinol I have ever used
I don’t want to speak to soon but this retinol maybe the best retinol I have ever used in terms of sensitivity and breakouts. It isn’t causing me them to much and my skin can tolerate it. I was wondering if I can add it to my 3 months system.
