Micronized Salicylic Acid 0.5%
Our proprietary, soluble salicylic acid (MDclear™ SalAc) was specifically formulated to provide the highest anti-acne efficacy while minimizing skin irritation. Originally derived from the bark and leaves of the willow tree, it has now been reformulated to a micronized medication, making it a highly effective yet gentle medicated ingredient for sensitive, acne-prone skin.

Your questions, answered

What is the MDacne Hydrating Cleanser and how does it work?

MDacne Hydrating Cleanser is a daily medicated face wash with micronized salicylic acid 0.5%. Salicylic acid is oil-soluble, so it gets into the pore and loosens the plug that leads to blackheads and whiteheads. Aloe, green tea, and vitamin E keep the wash from stripping your skin.

Is MDacne Hydrating Cleanser better than a regular acne face wash?

MDacne Hydrating Cleanser pairs a micronized, more soluble form of salicylic acid 0.5% with aloe and antioxidant boosters, so it unclogs pores while protecting your barrier. Most acne washes clear oil but leave skin tight and irritated, which is why people abandon them. Best for dry or over-treated skin.

MDacne Hydrating Cleanser or a stronger medicated salicylic acid cleanser?

MDacne Hydrating Cleanser is already medicated at 0.5% micronized salicylic acid and is best for dry, tight, or easily irritated acne-prone skin, including teens starting a routine. Higher-strength cleansers suit very oily skin with heavy blackheads, but they dry many people out.

How long until MDacne Hydrating Cleanser makes a visible difference?

MDacne Hydrating Cleanser usually makes skin feel less oily within days, while fewer blackheads and whiteheads take four to six weeks of twice-daily use. A cleanser alone rarely clears moderate acne, so treat MDacne Hydrating Cleanser as the first step alongside a treatment cream.

How do you use the MDacne Hydrating Cleanser morning and evening?

MDacne Hydrating Cleanser is used morning and evening: wet your face with tepid water, then massage the cleanser in with clean hands for twenty to thirty seconds. Rinse well and pat dry with a clean towel rather than rubbing, then apply your MDacne treatment cream.

Is the MDacne Hydrating Cleanser safe for sensitive skin?

MDacne Hydrating Cleanser is formulated for sensitive, acne-prone skin and is paraben-free, phthalate-free, and vegan. Some people feel mild tightness in the first week; if that happens, cleanse once daily at night and moisturize afterwards. Avoid it on broken or actively peeling skin.

It was easy to purchase the acne kit
It was easy to purchase the acne kit. I loved how I was able to send in a picture to make sure we get him the right acne treatment. I am looking for a way to ask questions about the product because the cleanser is burning when used.

So far it’s okay
I received the MDacne trial and have been using it for a couple weeks almost. So far I can say the facial wash is really god. Smells great and you truly only need a pea sized amount and it lathers up your entire face. The acne cream I’m not sure of yet I’m still going through the first but of extra acne. The moisturizer works well on most parts but I do have a couple constant dry spots so if I put a bit more on them it works well.

About a week in…
It’s only been about a week but, I’m highly satisfied with the quality of the face wash. I haven’t seen major results yet and I’m not looking forward to breakout before the clearing part of it but, I feel like it is working and better than anything else I have tried in the past. The supplements I purchased too though don’t appear to have anything more than a men’s multi vitamin in them. I could be reading the label wrong but, I’m pretty sure when I compared it to my multi vitamins it was almost identical.

I’ve been using the MDacne range for a little while now and I’m honestly impressed with the results. What I really like is how the products are personalized to my skin – it feels like I’m not just using a generic routine, but something actually tailored to me. The cleanser is gentle but still leaves my skin feeling properly clean without being stripped or tight. The treatment cream has been helping reduce breakouts and calm down redness, and I’ve noticed my skin is starting to look clearer and more even. I also love that the moisturizer is lightweight but still hydrating – perfect for daily use without making me oily. Another thing I appreciate is that the products are really easy to use and don’t have a strong or overwhelming smell, which makes sticking to the routine much simpler. I can already see improvements in my skin and feel much more confident. Overall, I’d definitely recommend MDacne if you’ve struggled to find products that actually work with your skin type. It’s been a game-changer for me.
